CHRISTINE WARD NAMED DIRECTOR

CHRISTINE WARD has been appointed to the directorship of New Dimensions in Health Care.

Ward, a native of Broadalbin, has been employed by New Dimensions for ten years, most recently as Coding and Billing Compliance Manager. Prior to joining the health center, Ward had over 23 years' experience in health care management in a private practice locally and at Paoli Memorial Hospital in Paoli, PA.

“As a long time member of the team at NDHC, I am well aware of the high level of professionalism and commitment that exists at the health center,” said Ward. “I am looking forward to working with our great staff in providing excellent health care to people with special needs in our community.”

Ward earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University and a CPC certification from the American Academy of Professional Coders in 2002. Posted 041608

WILLIAM DOWN, DDS, EXPANDS DENTAL SERVICES

DR. WILLIAM DOWN is a 27-year veteran of community dentistry joined the staff at New Dimensions in Healthcare this past June. Dr. Down has brought a wide range of experience to his position as staff dentist. From 1984, he was dental director at the Schenectady Family Health Services where he managed all dental department operations, including providing clinical care to patients, assuring compliance with NYS Department of Health regulations and assisting the president and CEO in developing policy and procedure guidelines.

Dr. Down received his dental training at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed his General Practice Residency at St. Claire’s Hospital in Schenectady. He has been involved in numerous community and academic programs promoting dental hygiene. He has been the associate director of the local residency program for Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, affiliated with St. Claire’s Hospital in Schenectady, and on the advisory board of Schenectady County Health Services. HEALTH CENTER CELEBRATES TEN YEARS

The ribbon cutting for New Dimensions in Health Care was held on September 26, 1996 (see top photo at left).

The Health Center's tenth anniversary was celebrated on October 5, 2006 with a late afternoon gathering at the Center.
