MARY ANN CRESANTI
|
On March 9, 2010, we suffered the loss of a dedicated New Dimensions in Living board member, Mary Ann Cresanti. Mary Ann joined the board in 2003 and was serving as its Secretary-Treasurer.
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Mary Ann provided special insight into providing health care services to our patients. In addition, Mary Ann was also a member of Liberty's Corporate Compliance Committee.
The Health Center staff and patients will miss having Mary Ann as a friend and supporter. We extend our sympathies to her family and many friends. |

GEMMA A. VIGLIOTTI |
On April 1, 2010, our dear friend Gemma A. Vigliotti passed away after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. This very special and classy lady was an inspiration and mentor to Board members and staff alike since she joined the Liberty Board in 1991. Gemma was President of the Liberty Board from 1998–2000, and also was the first president of the New Dimensions in Living Board and served on that board for many years. She became an Emerita Director in 2007. Gemma will be remembered for her intellect, her exemplary grace, and her unfailing ability to see the positive in any situation and apply common sense to find a solution.
Our organization was honored to have her expertise, friendship, and support for so many years. We extend our sincere sympathy to Gemma’s family and friends during this sad time. |

JOEL M. SILVERNAIL |
On September 12, 2009, Liberty lost a very special friend. Joel Silvernail willingly gave of his time and talent in many volunteer capacities with the ultimate goal of making the organization better for the people we support. Often with his wife Joan by his side, Joel came to us first as a volunteer at our special events—from golf to duck derbies and everything in between, Joel could be counted on to pitch in. It was not long before he was asked to serve on the Program Committee, Membership Committee, and then the Liberty and New Dimensions in Health Care Boards of Directors. He pursued these roles with enthusiasm and a sense of purpose.
On behalf of the Board members, individuals in program, and staff at Liberty, we extend our deepest sympathy to Joan, Kristin, and Kyle and extended family members. Joel made a real difference in all our lives and will be greatly missed. |
